At Plump, we believe comfort should have character - and cushions should come with a past.
We create one-of-a-kind, handmade cushions using rescued and vintage fabrics: forgotten curtains, offcuts, shelf-dwelling remnants. These materials aren’t new, but that’s the point - they carry stories, texture, and a kind of quiet magic you just can’t buy off the roll.
Beautiful patina of heritage fabrics does bring small variations, signs of age, and details that whisper history. It’s all part of the charm.
Rooted in the principles of wabi-sabi - beauty in imperfection - we don’t chase flawless. We chase feel. Bold color, aged grace, plump comfort. That’s what we make.

THE DETAIL
Every cushion is crafted slowly and consciously for enduring quality, with a deep respect for material and mood - much thought goes into their design.
Overly generous at around 1.3 metres, and with an extended zip closure for easy cushion filling, they are deeply filled with ethically sourced premium European duck feather and down, encased in a soft cambric inner.

Studio visits to view the current stock of cushions are very welcome by appointment.

Re-crafted
We select beautiful found fabrics and give them new a new purpose - reducing textile waste one Plump cushion at a time.
Plump is proudly independent, waste-conscious, and built on the belief that handmade things matter.
But it's not just green re-use virtue signalling, Heritage fabrics have a quality and richness of colour that is a far cry from today's mass market imported fabrics.
